    Omaha Beach
    Omaha Beach, or Bloody Omaha as it has come to be known, was the landing site for a large scale US invasion during the D-Day attacks of 1944. The site is still scared by this fierce battle and contains many of the original bunkers and long range guns used by the German defenses.

    Gold Beach, the central point of the the Normandy Invasion, was the landing area for a successful British led invasion during the Second World War. Remains of this historic battle still float in the beach's harbour.
